I’ve seen a lot of the earlier generation of Carry in the guise of the Daewoo Damas. Very popular in South Korea.

There were so many interesting cars going by, but I got the eye pretty much every time I looked after the Toyota Motor Museum. Which she liked, BTW.

lol, these things are EVERYWHERE! They also are fucking bad to drive lol... I might have to do a “Your average Keicar unobtainum Oppo Review” one day... My review MIGHT be harsh though... :)

I would like to see that - I saw a lot of guys driving these tiny little trucks, some on the highway. I even saw a tiny fire truck. Safety aside, I wonder what living with one day-to-day is like?

lol you’re defienetely american, that’s not a “tiny fire truck” haha, that’s quite a big daily duty truck for here! :)
As far as living with one on a day to day basis, I don’t know and don’t really want to know haha :)

I do not understand the grey, but I do not have the power. I am neither the keymaster nor the gatekeeper.

I have been to a couple European countries and, of course, like many Americans, Mexico and Canada. I knew Japan would be a big departure from what I’m used to, but ... wow. Everything from a spotless subway - we never waited more than 2 minutes for a train - to taxi drivers wearing white gloves and 185mph bullet trains. And very old temples and shrines. And the food ... exquisite.

Wow, I would love to travel around the world like that. If its not too intrusive, what do you do for a living?

Lawyer, but I got to go because the SigOther travels to Japan on business two or three times a year. So free hotel room, and one of her friends accompanied me on my adventures when she could not. I shopped a plane ticket hard (wound up buying through airline ANA). Next year, we’re going to try and see Hokkaido (different island, hot springs, interesting monkeys, lots of temples).

Sounds awesome, the cars would be the cool part, although I am an architecture geek so that part would be cool.

Reminds me quite a bit of the Gherkin in London - we were walking to the Tokyo government building to ride up to the 45th floor for a great view of the city. Swallowed my fear of heights and looked out.

Ha- Yeah I have never looked out on a city skyline on a city that large.

It makes Manhattan look tiny - 17 million people, I think.

Yeah, Is it the largest city in the world?
